Water
5 cups
Ginger
2 tbsp (finely grated)
Sugar
6 tbsp (or 5 tbsp honey)
Lemon juice
1/4 cup (or orange)
Black pepper
a pinch
To prepare ginger tea, bring water to a boil and add ginger. Add and dissolve sugar (or honey). Strain carefully. Then add pepper and lemon (or orange) juice. Serve ginger tea hot.
If you want to serve the tea as a refreshing drink, add ice cubes here, a little more sugar, lemon juice, and mint leaves.
