Water
1.5 cups (12 fl oz)
Milk
1 cup (8 fl oz)
Ginger
2 tsp (fresh grated root)
Tea
2 tsp (black loose leaf)
Cardamom
1 tsp (freshly ground)
Sugar
to taste or honey
To prepare ginger tea with milk and cardamom, pour water into a small saucepan, add ginger and tea. Place on heat, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1 minute.
Then pour in the milk and bring to a boil again. Remove from heat, add cardamom, stir. Return to heat and bring to a boil, add sugar to taste.
It's better to use brown sugar, it will give the tea an additional caramel flavor. Honey can also be used instead of sugar.
