Recipe for a refreshing and very healthy Indian cocktail that provides health, energy, and beauty. Lassi is a famous cocktail with its own history, originating from Pakistan and India. Traditionally, guests in these countries are welcomed with this cocktail. It is also served during meals to help balance the strong spices popular in India. The base of lassi is yogurt (dahi) combined with water and spices. Lassi can also be fruit-based such as banana, mango, blueberry, etc. In reality, there are many recipes and you can experiment with spices to your taste.
For Banana Lassi:
Yogurt
1 cup
Water
1 1/2 cups (iced)
Banana
2 pcs (ripe)
Sugar
2 tbsp (or honey)
Lemon zest
1/2 tsp
For Regular Lassi:
Yogurt
1 cup
Water
1 1/2 cups (iced)
Salt
1 tsp
Cumin
1 tsp
Green Chili Pepper
1 pc (optional)
The recipe for lassi is very simple, blend all ingredients together and mix for 15-20 seconds.
Immediately pour into glasses and serve.
For unsweetened lassi, grind cumin and chili pepper in a mortar. Then blend everything together and serve.
