Today I'm making oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips. The recipe is very quick and easy, using simple ingredients that are commonly found in every kitchen. The result is delicious cookies - a perfect addition to a cup of evening tea or milk. By the way, these cookies can have different fillings - chocolate, apples, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, etc.

Rolled Oats
1 1/2 cups (quick-cooking)
1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar
3/4 cup

Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp
All-Purpose Flour
3/4 cup
1/2 tsp
Baking Soda
1/2 tsp
a pinch (2 g)

To prepare oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, beat softened butter with sugar using a mixer until it becomes a homogeneous light mass, which will take about 5-8 minutes.

You can use brown sugar instead of white sugar for even more delicious cookies with a caramel flavor.

Meanwhile, mix flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon in a separate bowl, stir well.

If you don't like cinnamon, you can skip it.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, beat until smooth.

Next, add the prepared dry ingredients, mix well.

Then add the oats, mix again until homogeneous.

Finally, add the chopped chocolate and mix (I did it with a spatula).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon the dough onto it, using a regular spoon or an ice cream scoop (if available). Leave a fairly large gap between each cookie, as they will spread in the oven and may stick together.

Gently press down each cookie with a fork.

Place the cookies in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes. They should lightly brown but still be slightly soft. When the cookies cool down, they will firm up, so it's important not to over-bake.

Cool the oatmeal cookies on a rack, pour yourself a fragrant cup of tea, and enjoy!
