Recipe for a very delicious Eastern sweet treat, a variety of rahat lokum. Shaker lokum is made with wheat flour instead of starch. This delicious and aromatic cookie is easy and quick to make, ready in just about 20 minutes.
6 pcs (yolks)
Powdered sugar
1 3/4 cups
1 cup + 5 tbsp
1/4 cup (or brandy)

To prepare shaker lokum, beat egg yolks with powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy. Also beat the softened butter and combine it with the beaten egg yolks.
Infuse saffron with rum (or brandy) and mix. Add this mixture to the egg yolks and butter, then beat together.
Gradually add flour to the mixture and knead a soft dough that slightly sticks to your hands. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 10 minutes.
Roll the dough into balls the size of a walnut. Slightly press down each ball with a fork and place them on a buttered baking sheet.
Bake the shaker lokum in the oven at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-10 minutes. Serve the sweet treats slightly cooled.
