Elegant, crunchy, delicious, and easy-to-make cookies. These crispy curls are known and loved by almost everyone. There are plenty of recipes for fried pastry, and every housewife probably has her own. I suggest a quick and simple recipe for fried pastry. Vodka (rum, brandy, alcohol) is a must in the dough for fried pastry. It is this ingredient that gives the cookies a fine-porous and crispy structure.

Baking Soda
1/4 tsp
Sunflower Oil
for frying, odorless
Powdered Sugar
with vanilla (or cinnamon)
To prepare crunchy fried pastry, take a bowl, put flour in it, add eggs, and start mixing. Then add milk, vodka, salt, and baking soda. Mix everything together.
The resulting dough is very convenient to mix in a regular plastic bag. Knead the dough well until it becomes homogeneous. Then put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
This is done to make the dough thick and sticky so it will be easier to roll out and tear apart.
Next, roll out the dough thinly and shape it. Cut the dough into rectangles (or diamonds), make a cut in the center. Then thread one end through the slit to create a unique shape.
You can simply cut the dough into strips, into circles, make roses or ribbons. You can get creative and involve children in this activity.
Heat a skillet on the stove, pour about 2 cups of oil and heat it up. The fat should be heated to the point where a drop of water, poured into it, produces a strong sizzle, but the fat is not smoking. Dip the fried pastry in the oil and fry on both sides.
Our crunchy fried pastry is ready, let excess fat drain by placing it on a paper towel. Serve, sprinkled with powdered sugar with vanilla.
