A recipe for a soft and airy pound cake with an amazing taste. Topped with chocolate glaze, this pound cake is very delicious. It's easy to make, just mix all the ingredients and bake. With a kitchen mixer, the dough preparation process takes only a few minutes.
For the pound cake:
Flour
1/2 cup
Starch
1/4 cup
Sugar
1/2 cup
Butter
1/2 cup
Eggs
5 (5 yolks + 3 whites)
Condensed Milk
3 tbsp
Baking Powder
1/2 tsp
Liqueur
2 tbsp Amaretto
For the glaze:
Butter
3 tbsp
Chocolate
3 tbsp
To make the Chocolate Glazed Pound Cake, beat butter with sugar until fluffy and light in color.
Then add the egg yolks one by one, beating thoroughly each time. Also add condensed milk, liqueur, and continue beating.
Add sifted flour mixed with starch and baking powder.
Beat the 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the batter using a spatula.
Transfer the batter to a baking pan and bake for an hour at a temperature of 170 degrees Fahrenheit. For the glaze, melt the chocolate with butter in a double boiler. Remove the baked pound cake from the pan and pour the chocolate glaze over it.
The baking pan should have a diameter of 6 inches with a hole in the center. Grease the pan with butter and dust with flour, no need to do this if using a silicone pan.
