Recipe for a quick pie when you don't have time to deal with dough. You can use yeast dough or dough without yeast, it doesn't matter. The pie turns out tender and very delicious. If you don't have apples, you can use peaches, nectarines, or plums (it is preferable to use fruits that are not overripe). Almond petals are perfect for this, but you can use other nuts as well - it will still be delicious!

To make the pie with custard cream and apples, first prepare the cream. Put all the ingredients for the cream in a saucepan and stir until smooth. Place on the stove over medium heat. Stir continuously and cook the cream until thickened, then remove from the heat.
Roll out the dough slightly and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Create a small border around the edges. My baking sheet size is 30x35 cm.
Spread the custard cream on top of the puff pastry (no need to let it cool) and then add the apples sliced into thin wedges. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 °F for 35-40 minutes using the top-bottom heat with convection mode.
To make the syrup, combine water and sugar in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Remove the finished pie from the oven and cover the apples with the syrup.
I also added some toasted and crushed walnuts on top.
