Recipe for Greek vegetable stew. It's nothing more than braised cabbage with rice. This dish is suitable for fasting, tastes equally delicious hot or cold. You can also add mushrooms, for example. For a more hearty non-fasting option, you can add meat or smoked sausages. Everything is simple, delicious, and filling!

To prepare Lahanorizo, pour oil into a large skillet or pot. Heat it up and add coarsely chopped carrots and onions. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
Add shredded cabbage. Stirring constantly, lightly sauté it.
Then add tomato juice and spices (salt, coriander, pepper). Mix together and reduce the heat to a minimum.
Add rice and water, stir, cover with a lid, and simmer until the rice is done.
Finally, add herbs and the Greek vegetable stew - lahanorizo is ready!
