It's asparagus season now, and it's the perfect time to cook this delicious and healthy vegetable. Asparagus tastes like young green peas, it should remain crunchy and juicy, so it's important not to overcook it. Here is the easiest and traditional recipe - in the oven. You'll need a minimum of ingredients, everything is tasty and quick!

 

Green Asparagus
1 bunch
Olive Oil
4 tbsp
Salt
Black Pepper (ground)
Parmesan Cheese
Garlic
2-3 cloves
First, prepare the asparagus by washing it and peeling the lower, tougher part of the asparagus with a vegetable peeler. Trim off any too thick and wide parts. Process all the asparagus this way.
Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the prepared asparagus on it. Sprinkle finely chopped garlic (I grated mine on a fine grater) on top, season with salt, pepper to taste, and drizzle olive oil. Then place it in a preheated oven at 220 °F for 10 minutes.
Remove the asparagus from the oven and immediately sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese, adjust the amount to your liking. You can serve the asparagus with slices of fresh lemon to drizzle a small amount of lemon juice over it right before eating.
