A very delicious spread, reminiscent in taste of Nutella chocolate spread. It's best to use hazelnuts in this recipe, but walnuts will also work. However, peanuts are not suitable. This chocolate hazelnut spread can be spread on crispy baguette, cookies, or used as a layer for a cake. Or simply enjoy it by the spoonful, especially children will love this chocolate spread.
Sugar
1 cup
Vanilla sugar
1 packet
Cocoa powder
4-5 tbsp
Flour
3/4 cup (110 g)
Milk
2 cups
Butter
7 tbsp
Hazelnuts
1 1/4 cups (or walnuts)
To prepare chocolate hazelnut spread, mix cocoa, sugar, and flour. Add half of the milk to the dry mixture and mix thoroughly.
Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. When the milk starts boiling, continuously stirring, pour in the above mixture.
Cook the spread over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Remove the chocolate hazelnut spread from the heat and let it cool until warm.
Now add crushed hazelnuts (or walnuts) and butter. Mix everything well.
You can lightly toast the nuts in a dry pan beforehand to enhance their flavor and aroma.
The cooled chocolate hazelnut spread can be additionally beaten with a mixer (although this step is optional). Serve with cookies or toast for tea or coffee and enjoy...!
