This meat roll recipe is quite simple, resulting in a hearty and very tasty appetizer. Lavash gets soaked in meat juices and aroma, resembling puff pastry. And when combined with juicy filling... it's very delicious! Hot meat rolls can be served as a main course, while cold ones can be served as an appetizer.
Lavash
1 sheet (large)
Ground Meat
1 1/4 cups (beef)
Mushrooms
1 cup (button mushrooms)
Cheese
1 1/4 cups (hard cheese)
Black Pepper
to taste (ground)
Mayonnaise
for coating the roll
Salt
to taste
To prepare the meat roll with lavash with mushrooms and cheese, chop the mushrooms into small pieces and lightly fry them in butter. Cut the cheese into small cubes. Mix the mushrooms, cheese, ground meat, add salt, pepper, and mix well.
Spread the prepared filling on top of the lavash, evenly distribute it, and roll it into a roll.
Then, coat the roll with mayonnaise and wrap it in foil.
Bake the meat roll in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Unwrap the foil 5 minutes before it's done to give the roll a nice crust.
Serve the Meat Roll with Lavash, Mushrooms, and Cheese by cutting it into slices about 2-3 inches wide.
